The only books I read are Italian these days

Got back from the film, was good. Missing something special, probably how it built up to something which never materialised

The cop-dad was epic

the books r addicting, i was skeptic at first also but when i started to read i became addicted.

I personally think the series is shallow, poorly constructed and uninteresting. The 'vampires' of the series are not true to form and in general nothing in the world, the characters, the events or the writing contribute anything of worth to the book.

For the record to stand pure, I have read about a third of the second book, and pieces of the first. I was unwilling to continue reading thereafter, especially since I have heard the main plot points from those who are obsessed. I especially doubt that the clumsy writing and flat characters were merely artifacts of those particular sections.

I have finished the series
My opinion is that it could've been brilliant
The whole concept & plot works well and has been given a lot of thought. That said everything from Bellas point of view was just Edward, Edward, Edward
Jacobs sections were brilliant, but Bella just got dull.
And the climax of breaking dawn is appaling. Huge battle, but then everyone goes home
