why? I think it is rather valid, considering Russia has the largest srmy in the world as of right now.

the size of the army does not matter, its how u use it.

and they intend to do some pretty interesting stuff with it, especially since the president has announced spending 2.5 billion russian rubles on advancing their army.

that doesnt mean we cant use better tactics and win, we are all equal in war. even if one has a better army there is still a chance, its not like it hasnt happened before.

Well Russia has proven itself in the past, it captured all bordering European nations and held them for most off WW II, while the US can't keep Iraq under control, and has been trying to for around 8 years.

we have proven ourselfs before as well, but we are more peaceful than Russia

What you forget is that those were different. Russia invaded Afghanistan and couldn't hold it against the Taliban. In fact, the US trained the Taliban to fight the Russians (Irony anyone?)

When communism fell it destroyed the Russian economy. They don't want it back. And if they did, so what?

communism lead to the soviet union, and the soviet union lead to the largest threat to the US we have ever seen, more so then Today's Russia.
