Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
So yeah. If they wanted to, New Zealand could buy a bunch of nukes and blast them off.
...But they wouldn't, they're a peaceful nation, just like Australia.

Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
New Zealand, boring?
New Zealand is one of the most mysterious places on earth, with Easter-Island heads on its shores, prehistoric lizards that where around in Dinosaur times [that are only in New Zealand], as well as it's own stone-henge.
And on top of all that, they have one of the most terrain-diverse islands of all - with tall, frozen mountains, jungles, deserts, and rolling plains.

Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
New Zealand is not in a better economic situation!? For every US dollar we give them, we get back 1.7 NZ dollars. The Truth is, the nations with the best economy right now are Bahraini, All Euro using nations, the US, and Russia. (which, even though they are facing a severe economic crisis, it has gotten very much better from the economic crisis of the 80's)
Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
Uh, no.
I have friends that now live in New Zealand [thankfully for them the dad owns a planet-wide company] that tell me of the situations there.
New Zealand and Australia, which have very little ties to what goes on everywhere else in the world [except a bit of involvment in big wars, to help out the U.S] are also not very effected by economic turmoil going on elsewhere in the world.

Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
So you are taking your knowledge from 14 year old, wealthy people, that, as you just said, have very little ties with other nations, including comparing economic situations. great source.....
Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
Who said i got the information from the friend? I got it from his DAD.
So yeah, good source.

Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
ok, so ethan, you would take all economic knowledge on or nation from a man like the CEO of McDonalds or Hewlett Packard? I can guarantee you that, unless you see for yourself the state of the economy of a nation with your own eyes (or the smart thing would be a stock history sheet) you will not be able to fully understand what is going on in another nation, mostly because the person you are getting the info from is not in the US seeing what it is like, and you aren't in NZ seeing how their economy is going. People like to perceive the US' economy is the worst as of right now, In actuality, the US has one of the best economies, we just fell farther then most other nations. So in NZ all you could find to compare yourself to the US was biased information of the US economy in news papers and websites.
Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
Actually, I HAVE been their before. It's the only place i've ever gone to thats in a different country.
I'm really glad that they paid for everything, seeing as how expensive everything was.

Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
How can you see an economy?
You could only see the effects, whilst any data regarding the economy would be data. Data does not change
The fact the US debt is:
does not change if its somebody in NZ saying it, or you
That's $36,565.55 per person BTW,
It's $33,000 in NZ (8.5% of GDP, Americas is 71% of GDP)

Re: EUROPE VS. AMERICA
you conveniently left out NZ debt as well, although i will say there is no way they have more debt, the US has been trillion dollars in debt way before the recession, what we are talking about (i think?) is how hard each country was hit by the economic crisis, the US is still in better shape then most other nations, but we fell farther then any other nation. The opposite of Russia for instance that is in a worse condition then the US, but they have been for years, and so they know how to handle themselves, in fact, they are doing better now then they have at any other point in that past after the soviet union.

Mr. Lordi wrote:you conveniently left out NZ debt as well,
Convenient? I left it out because it was mostly irrelevant since the country is smaller and so it will be smaller, the per capita and % allow the results to be scaled for comparison, but since you ask: $134.57 billion
